Project SUCCESS is a two-year, interdisciplinary project designed to strengthen the employability skills of all students enrolled in career classes at Poplarville High School Career Development Center. Upon completion of this project, students will be able to:

Year I

  • Dress for success
  • Create a winning resume
  • Complete an employment application
  • Compose a cover letter
  • Compose a thank you letter
  • Compose a personal essay
  • Effectively participate in a job interview

Year II

  • Update resume, cover letter, and thank you letter
  • Dress for success
  • Compose a goals essay
  • Compose an autobiography
  • Create leave-behind documents for prospective employers
  • Request a letter of reference
  • Compile an Employment Portfolio
  • Effectively participate in a job interview to include the presentation of a portfolio

  • Must complete ALL requirements
  • Approval by Dr. Cole
  • Entered on your transcript end of third nine weeks of your second year of a program
